St. Francis De Sales Academy was established in 2018 by the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales, a congregation which had its origin in France. The congregation has been founded by Fr. Peter Mermier, the Servant of God, who considered “Education of the Heart is the Heart of Education.” The Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales commit themselves to the apostolate of education as one of their charisms and as an expression of their concern for total human development, inspired by the gospel values.
St. Francis de Sales Academy aims to brighten the future of every person with whom we come in contact, with a “Salesian spirit of attentiveness to the individual, characterized by firmness and gentleness”, making him or her useful to society and helping all to become aware of their own dignity and destiny. S.F.S Academy has opened a new era in the education sector of Mattannur and is ever active and engaged in imparting quality education to its students. We follow the ICSE syllabus of New Delhi.

The middle section of St. Francis Academy, Mattannur, comprising Classes VI to VIII, bridges primary and secondary education.
