“True progress quietly and persistently moves along without notice” – St. Francis De Sales
This school is dedicated to its heavenly patron St Francis de Sales (1567-1622). He was born on 21 August 1567 into a senatorial family in France where he was destined to work in government positions of authority. Instead, he felt called to become a priest in the Catholic Church. Within a few years of priestly ordination, Francis de Sales became the Bishop of Geneva, and became noted for his deep faith and his gentle approach to the Protestant Reformation at that time.
Through his missionary efforts, he won back hundreds of Protestant Christians to the Catholic fold. He authored two well-known theological classics: Introduction to the Devout Life and Treatise on the Love of God. As a Doctor of the Church, Francis de Sales is famous for his teachings on the Catholic doctrine. He is also known as the Gentleman Saint. He died on 28 December 1622, aged 55 years. He was canonized as a Saint in 1665.
The Education Apostolate of the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (MSFS) – Southwest India Province is a vibrant expression of faith-inspired, value-driven, and academically enriching education. Rooted in the enduring spirituality of St. Francis de Sales and motivated by the missionary zeal of our founder, Fr. Peter Marie Mermier, our institutions are dedicated to the holistic formation of every learner — intellectually, morally, spiritually, and socially.
Spanning the culturally rich states of Karnataka and Kerala, we serve a diverse and growing community of students. Though varied in geography and background, our schools and colleges are united by a common purpose: to pursue excellence in education, integrity in character, and transformation through service.
We believe that education is not merely the transfer of knowledge but the formation of the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. In each MSFS institution, we foster an environment where academic rigor is harmonized with ethical grounding, where faith and reason engage in dialogue, and where students are inspired to live lives of purpose and compassion.
Guided by the Salesian virtues of gentleness, humility, and resilience, our educational spaces are inclusive, nurturing, and future-focused. Here, students are not only empowered to realize their full potential but are also encouraged to use their gifts to uplift others and positively shape the world around them.
Become part of a community dedicated to knowledge, values, and service. Whether you’re a student, parent, educator, or well-wisher — we welcome you to join us.
