The Missionaries of St. Francis De Sales (MSFS) have been fervent in their mission to spread Christian values and spirituality through diverse ministries. Their commitment to education in Chintamani is epitomized by the establishment of SFS School, a beacon of knowledge and moral values. The school’s journey began with the founding of SFS Kannada Medium School in 1988 by the pioneering missionary, Fr. Joseph.
In 1988, under the leadership of Fr. Joseph and headmistress Mrs. Shubhashini, SFS Kannada Medium School opened its doors with just five children in the LKG section. The foundation was laid with a vision of gradual and steady growth, focusing on imparting quality education. From 1990 to 1993, Fr. Francis K. Took charge as the director and principal, steering the school through its formative years.
The year 1995 marked a significant milestone as SFS Kannada Medium School evolved into a high school under the guidance of Fr. Erudaya Raj. Recognizing the increasing demand for English-medium education, SFS English Higher Primary School was inaugurated in 1999 and attained high school status by 2001, thanks to the leadership of principal Fr. Santy Kurian and manager Fr. Sebastian Cornard.
Over the years the school had made a steady progress and has achieved 100 % results every year. The school today has a good environment for the students to excel .
